Lot’s of interesting sub-plots...

The legit best TE in the NFL (Kelce) vs. the national media’s latest flavor of the moment (Kittle).

The pre-Mahomes history of the Chiefs trying to win with former 49ers QB’s.

Great defense vs. Great offense.

Dee Ford.

And more.

Kittle is a flavor of the moment?

You could argue he's the best TE in football (yes over Travis Kelce) if you take his blocking and yards after contact into account.

He's got 2,400 yards and 10 TDs receiving the last two seasons...

If you think he's a flavor of the moment you're not really paying attention

ThyKingdomCome15 01-19-2020 07:49 PM

I just looked them up for the first time. They have a helluva team. Easily the most well balanced team in the NFL. But you know what they say; speed kills. And I dont think the niners have much of it on defense. But that DL is amazing.

This game wont be easy.

They are an all around complete, balanced team. Which makes them more dangerous than most teams in the NFL.

OUT
NT D.J. Jones (ankle)
DL Dee Ford (hamstring)
CB Richard Sherman (hamstring)

DB K’Waun Williams (concussion)
S Jaquiski Tartt (ribs)
DL Jullian Taylor (elbow)

Where the hell has that been all game? Classic case of a declining GOAT level QB who still has little flashes of brilliance, but most of the time it's not there.

Packers defense sucks

RaidersOftheCellar 01-19-2020 08:26 PM

I think we’ve got this.

Mahomes and our receivers can tear up this secondary. And the D will give a better effort to slow down their rushing attack.

Just avoid turnovers.

FringeNC 01-19-2020 08:30 PM

SF is a good team no doubt. Not dominant. And may not be a favorite.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-19-2020 08:31 PM

Something has to be said about the Niners. They're success is misleading. They played a very light schedule and had little competition in a soft NFC this year. They're more like paper tigers than a cat that's actually dangerous. Still a good team, sure. But not a real threat to this high octane Chiefs team. Not even close.

Not really, they were so hilariously wrong about Queen Henry running over the Chiefs defense.

As the Titans found out today and the 49ers will find out in two weeks... you can’t hide your average QB no matter how good your running game is.

bringbackmarty 01-19-2020 09:18 PM

Most complete team, got them playing at a high level, front 7, Richard Sherman, George Kittle. Heard it before. Still not enough. Gonna be tough to beat us because eventually we will find a way to beat them and the way playoff games are nowdays with the huge timeouts and commercials, our defense won't be taxed at all playing in 50-60 degree weather. Expect a total blowout.
