Bump 08-24-2019 07:53 PM

Colts were primed to make another run too, those fans gotta be pissed off. I wonder if they'll "ban" him from Indianapolis.

kcpasco 08-24-2019 07:53 PM

I think his shoulder is just ****ed beyond hope.

Munson 08-24-2019 07:54 PM

If I was a Colts season ticket holder, or bought any single game tickets, I would demand a full refund.

Bump 08-24-2019 07:56 PM

Texans gotta be happy right now, that division is theirs for the taking. But I think the Jags bounce back, they gotta be happy too.

JD10367 08-24-2019 07:56 PM

The Colts will still win that division. Jacoby Brissett is no slouch; reports were that, if he made it to free agency, he'd be highly sought after. (The way Janeane Garoppolo keeps getting hurt, Brissett might turn out to be the better former Brady backup.) Texans are looking horrible, Titans are still a building franchise, and the Jags are, well, the Jags.

Not a good night for them either. Lamar Miller tore his ACL tonight. Obviously not as big of a deal as Luck but they still lost one of their starting offensive weapons.

Not the same circumstances, but it almost has a feel of a Scott Norwood situation.

Too much mental trauma to compete, even if healthy.

It looked like he was terrified of getting hit when we played him. I was wondering why he was so terrible against our horrific secondary.

I think that’s Broncos cheap shot ****ed him up real bad mentally

If I were Jacoby Brisset, I'd be smiling inside. This is his big break. They have a talented roster, they could still compete if he plays well enough.

pugsnotdrugs19 08-24-2019 08:06 PM

Luck always has gave off an uncompetitive vibe about his game. He doesn’t show that fire to win like most of the greats.

In that sense, it isn’t quite as shocking.

This just in: Patriots sign free agent Smandrew Smuck to be the starter next year when Brady retires

Iowanian 08-24-2019 08:07 PM

Luck must have just seen nick roles naked in the shower and realized the water was cold....and knew he couldn't compete.

F the colts.

Yep. Wouldn’t surprise me if his shoulder bothers him still too.

Which is why protecting Mahomes remains paramount. Every single year. And he has to protect himself — get the football out fast, get out of bounds, etc.

Ballard has to be pulling his hair out right now. Great cap mngmt, decent drafting, decent free agent signings, and Luck just takes a massive dump on the franchise.

sedated 08-24-2019 08:13 PM

I can recall 4 serious "lower calf strains" - Eric Berry (torn achilles, 2 years lost and retirement), Kevin Durant (torn achilles), and John Wall (torn achilles, career in doubt) then Luck. I wonder if he just didn't want to go through it.

Then I see that the bears had Tyler Bray and Chase Daniel as the only QBs that played for them tonight.

One scene that sticks in my mind: Andrew Luck, exiting the locker room after the playoff loss in KC, with a huge smile on his face as he caught up with his fiancee. Suck for Luck

tk13 08-24-2019 08:19 PM

Yeah, it's funny but it's also kind of messed up. They shouldn't be booing him. They should go and find Grigson and boo him. That's really the story. Remember before Ballard got on board the Colts had a revolving door at OL.

I might have the number wrong, but in Luck's first 70 career games he had something like 35 different starting offensive lines. That's a joke. Combine that with all the other terrible moves Grigson made (Trent Richardson)... just wasted a generational talent.

Setsuna 08-24-2019 08:20 PM

Welp Jags can't be last in the AFC South even if we tried. I guess that's something. We'll still suck though. And this is insane, he's made enough money though.
