My favorite thing about him isn't the fact he is accurate........... It that he has a REAL LEG and is accurate.

He’s perfect from 40-49 yards and only missed FG of season was 50+ yarder.

He’s among the best kickers in the league. Great move stealing him from the Panthers practice squad (they obviously knew he was good. Who keeps a kicker on their practice squad?)

I was a little nervous about him coming into this game with how shaky he's looked at times this season. But yesterday, he came out and went 4/4 on XPs and made his only FG try from 39 yards. Meanwhile, Vinatieri went 1-2 on XPs and missed his only FG try.

It wasn't spectacular, but in today's NFL and in those conditions, that's a solid performance.

Butker has been getting a real workout this year. People don't really realize how much work he does. Just against the Colts he had 6 KO's 4 EP's and a FG. That's 11 kicks.

I'll take Butker over anyone in the league after last season. Sure, he misses the occasional XP for no apparent reason, but when we need, when we have to have a 3-pointer he's automatic.

Yeah, it’s weird. I don’t know.

I look at it this way. We’ve REALLY only needed him for one game this year and he came through in a BIG way in that game.

These last couple weeks have left me a little concerned, but ultimately have not affected the game. If you’re the Chiefs (with our offense), you shouldn’t really be relying on the kicker to win you games, especially when you have an all world QB and a genius offensive coach.

But I realize there is always a couple games a year where it’s going to come down to a kicker, unfortunately. So far, in that instance, Butker came through with flying colors and won us a game. As long as he does the same in the other 1-2 games this year (when it comes down to that), I’m willing to overlook the occasional miss here and there that’s not ultimately affecting the outcome of the game.

It’s irritating at the time, but it is what it is. No kicker is perfect (unless your Justin Tucker).

But Buttkicker has range like no other kicker in the NFL right now, so I’ll take my chances with him going forward.
