Could you gun nerds give me a couple recommendations for a small purse carry gun? Open to .380,9, and .40. Needs to be small and dependable (some .380s have a rep for jamming all the time). Not looking for the cheapest deal around.

I'd suggest a double action revolver. No need to rack a slide...just pull the trigger and it shoots. The Ruger LCR comes in quite a few calibers.

P238s are tiny, and the P239's aren't much larger. The only downside is that it is basically a tiny 1911, meaning you have to have it cocked to shoot quickly. Anyone that knows how to handle a handgun will have no problem, but a beginner might have trouble.

A good old .38 revolver wouldn't be a bad choice, either. I concealed a S&W J-Frame for 2 years and loved it. No safety, no bullshit, just pull it out and pull the trigger. The built-in Crimson Trace laser was nice.

Stay away from the LC9s. My wife had an Ruger LC9, and hated it. I hate that piece of shit, too. The slide is hard as hell and it kicks like it's shooting 50 cals.

Munson 10-22-2015 10:43 AM

Brand new Ruger LCP for $199.99. If it didn't have the raspberry-colored frame, I'd get one for myself.

New guns being made in 'Murica!:

I really like the FIST concept, basically, if you have to pull the gun out and press it into your attacker when shooting, this gun is designed to handle that and function well.

It's been damn near a year since I bough a gun, I need to find something because there is still a little room in the safe. I did however find a decent deal on some S&W .500 ammo on Sunday and pulled the trigger. AR and AK ammo is well stocked so I have been laying low. I need a new toy, Perhaps a .338 Lapua.

Hey, do you reload or have thought about reloading?

Would like to get some thoughts and opinions on the Century Arms C39 V2.
I am considering getting one as my first AK.
The fact that it's a milled receiver and made in 'merica has my interest.
Not really thrilled about "Century Arms" reputation itself, so I am proceeding with caution.

Are there any better AK platforms I should be looking at for $800?

Nice. New model or older pencil barrel model? You should buy 1911 Shok-buff recoil buffers. Lil rubber shim that goes on both ends of the operating rod. This will keep the OP rod from slamming against the receiver and putting unwanted wear on the rifle.
Perfect Union.com is a message board geared towards the Mini 14 and Garand action type weapons. Lots of tipa and tricks that will improve the Mini's MOA = accuracy.
Any questions PM me. Trigger jobs are easy

I'll be keeping an eye on any good deals. Last year, Armalite had a 20% off all rifles Black Friday deal, and I scored a .308 DEF10. I'd be seriously tempted if they ran that deal again this year.

Remington is having some nice Black Friday deals valid through Nov 30th.

http://www.remington.com/pages/news-...romotions.aspx

The part that caught my attention is the rebate for the Golden Saber and Ultimate Defense ammo. You get $10 back per box ($5 rebate + $5 Black Friday bonus). The max is 10 boxes, or $100 per person.

And here is an email I got from Target Sports USA.

http://us7.campaign-archive1.com/?u=...1&e=d76319d516

The best deal is the Golden Saber .357 for $2.50 per box after rebate. That is 10 cents per round for self defense hollowpoints! I'd buy a truckload if Remington didn't have a limit on this rebate.

Saw the Palmetto Micro deal. Excellent, but figure on another C-Note for a mount if you plan on using it on an AR-15. The new Trijicon MRO is going to put a HURTING on micro sales the upcoming year.

Have you done any mods to yours yet?

The only thing I can see improving is switching out the receiver top plate with a railed replacement for a reflex sight.

I have friends with converted Saigas and the more shit the put on them, the heavier they get, and the more reliability issues they run into.

My VEPR is reliable as hell if I stay away from soft paper reloads.

Anybody hear about the Eotech fiasco? Basically, their products may not work as advertised, and are getting sued by the gov't. Here's a thread on AR15.com if you really want to read more about it.

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/181..._Products.html

And it turns out that Eotech is allowing anybody to return their holographic weapon sight for a full refund, plus $15 for shipping costs. I ended up filling out the form on Monday, got approved today (for the full amount that I paid for it last year), and will be shipping it back by the end of the week. It seems that some people are being asked for a copy of their original receipt, but they didn't ask for mine. Just be sure not to ask for more than MSRP, otherwise you might get denied.

If you want to return your Eotech red dot for a full refund, fill out this form:

http://www.eotechinc.com/return-auth...n-request-form

In the "description of failure" section, just write down that you want a refund of X amount of dollars. You don't even need to give a reason.

The new shotgun came in today. My penis has been erect for well over 4 hours. Should I call a doctor?

Going with the red dot that came with my Sig 556r for now.

Quad rail, forgrip, trigger group and muzzle break / door breach installed.

What do you think?

If you think your penis is hard now, just wait until you unload 8-10 shells in 2 seconds.

You will be able to shatter diamonds with it.

That would be a nice gun to own, what did it run you?

Kel Tec Sub2K for me.

Odd... isn't it. A shitty manufacturer like Kel Tec actually getting two guns REALLY right.

User of Kel Tec KSG Shotgun Allegedly Shoots His Hand Off, Might Sue Kel Tec

By Dan Cannon

Well, this is certainly an interesting story. According to Lee Williams, the gun writer for the Herald-Tribune, a user of a Kel Tec KSG shotgun allegedly shot himself in the hand, point blank, with a 12 gauge shell while using a Pro Mag Archangel vertical grip.

At this point, Williams is the only source for this, so we’ll likely have to wait on more facts to emerge. For now, here is what Williams is reporting,

An attorney in Virginia preparing a lawsuit that they will likely file against Kel-Tec and ProMag Industries.

It appears that their client was shooting a Kel-Tec KSG equipped with a ProMag “Archangel” polymer forward grip when tragedy occurred.

“The properly installed forward grip slid off the gun rail while the user was pumping the gun, resulting in the user shooting off part of his hand,” the attorney wrote on a lawyers-only site.

The attorney allegedly notes that there is nothing but a polymer nipple holding the grip to the rail and nothing on the rail to prevent a grip from sliding off.

OK. So, there you go. Let’s just assume the above information is accurate for now. First – a vertical grip is not necessarily made to withstand the forces put on it when used as park of a pumping mechanism. Second – even if the vertical grip was faulty, how is that Kel Tec’s fault? Third – the rail is open on the end so you can, wait for it, slide stuff onto it (yes some accessories still have to slide onto a rail before being secured).

I could almost see the lawsuit against Promag, but they’ll likely just say the grip was being used in an improper way (which I tend to agree with). I don’t see how Kel Tec should be liable at all.

I can see that happening, too.

Poor bastard.
