It's better than backup money, but it's a great deal for them. Minshew will be the starter and be okay.

We are giving him a two year deal worth $25mm. That's less for two years than a low tier starter gets for one year.

If you dont have a locked in starter, he's a pretty good option.

Well, you get what you pay for.

Minshew is the new Ryan Fitzpatrick.

He really is.

I mean, he's just as good as Baker Mayfield and you paid a hell of a lot less.

Unless he plays for your team. In that case, watching him is brutal.

He has a weak arm, bad pocket awareness which leads to turnovers, and he has a really irritating habit of occasionally missing really easy throws for no apparent reason.

He’s a damn good backup and I was hoping the Colts would bring him back because AR is apparently made of glass, but you do not want that guy starting for an extended period of time.

Who knows, maybe a different offensive system will help him out.

so now the Raiders have two Uncle Ricos. That's the ticket to success.

He's not that bad my brother.

If they draft a QB then this move makes sense.

They'll have a QB room under 20M total (3 QB's) and potential in whoever they draft in the 1st.

Pinchshot 03-11-2024 06:07 PM

Shoot. I wanted him as a backup.

He’s not “bad”, but he’s not a legitimate starter either.

Dude loves throwing picks which is great for our secondary.
