I think it's something like 51% of the SBs being won by HOF QBs, so no. And then you've got all the SB's from the last decade being won by future HOFer's besides probably Flacco.

None of those QBs were HOF worthy until they won a SB except maybe Elway so.....

Joe is a good name for a QB.

Billy Joe, not so much.

So if we had taken Geno at 1.1 he would have been a likely SB winner, but since he was taken in the 2nd he probably won't be? Is that what the OP is trying to say?

Good thing we have a QB taken at 1.1.

26-of-46 Super Bowl winning teams had starting QBs taken in the first round of the draft (56%...56 ****ing percent). Of those, 22 were taken in the Top-10 picks, the area of the board where teams hope to find their franchise guys. And 33% of Super Bowl winning QBs are #1 overall picks. A total of 14 first round QBs have been named the Super Bowl MVP.

Good thing we have a #1 pick leading the team.

@draftbreakdown: David Fales would make sense for KC. Hyper-accurate w/ good feet (both important attributes for a WCO QB) http://t.co/ABi3ojQvlf

Fales is a bad name for a QB.

Lol no joke.

Heh was about to post something like this.

The ironic thing is that people are now saying we should have drafted Geno even though he was a 2nd round QB.

At least we didn't get that 2nd round QB Geno Smith.

I've only been around for 12 of them, so I missed the first year it was discussed ;)

It's simple.
Don't draft your franchise qb in the 1st round and you are going against the odds to win a sb.

Chiefspants 08-26-2013 09:57 PM

Whatever, what percentage of 1st round QB's have actually won a super bowl?
