So you're telling me the film doesn't have another $300 million in it?

It’ll need at least $450 million to match R1

It's made 750 million worldwide.

Rogue One made 1.05 billion.

So...huh?

What about it? I'm sure Rogue One spent even MORE money on marketing.

Okay, $375 million.

Does TLJ make that? Maybe, but not much more.

A 69% drop is enormous. It'll continue to drop at least 50% each weekend for the next month, which will certainly be under expectations.

The backlash isn't helping, either. Once word of mouth travels further when kids are back in school, it might really fall off a cliff.

I think most Star Wars fans would agree that Rogue One was amazing, TFA was good and TLJ left a lot to be desired

I agree with this 100% I really hope they pull Rian off of the new trilogy.

I think it's more like 10% and they're all the idiots on FB and reddit.

Yeah, because every blockbuster film drops 69% from Weekend 1 to Weekend 2.

that's such bullshit the hate was trending on twitter and the /movies star wars talk is already up to 90k comments of people hating on the movie.

tossing away all the plot threads from TFA was gonna piss people off love or hate the movie.

While I agree about Rogue One (personally I think it's the best Star Wars movie of them all) I really don't get how people can like Force Awakens better than Last Jedi.

So funny.

Luke was going to murder his teenage nephew while he slept because he was afraid he might become evil. I never could have imagined Luke as such a coward based on what I'd seen from the other films. Luke died alone, completely emasculated, as a coward.

And people are surprised a lot of fans hate the movie? Shit man, I'm not a fanboi at all. This film fails from a narrative standpoint enormously if you leave the fan stuff out of it.
