Nope, just an issue with timing. After the first trimester, certain teratogens don't profoundly affect cognition (if at all).

It's also dose dependent, but this isn't exactly the place for me to go into that.

Also, I said "partly" and I think that is clearly the case.

Somebody interpret this for me.

What was hilarious about this?

And what is clearly the case? That there's no mental function in a fetus? Because we can certainly monitor brain waves in the developing brain.

I was making a joke that there would be no brain activity in HER fetus... because she's stupid... and her baby would be stupid. Then you got all sciencey on me and squashed the hilarity.

S'OK. I think it is just her singing style. She has a strong voice but seems to be holding back and singing a lot of it staccato. If she sang louder and sustained some of the notes I think it might be more interesting to listen to.

I think Monsters and Men is a pretty good band. But that cover is awful.

I thought it was a good cover. It can't be easy doing acoustic covers for MGMT songs, but then again, I haven't really looked around.

1. The chick on lead guitar/vocals is right up my alley.

2. And Samwell Tarly told Gilly he couldn't sing.

she's actually awesome. I didnt like them at first, but they grew on me. SNL turned me on to them too. That mountain song is a really good freaking song! I can dig them now. But I still hate that cover. I like MGMT too and that cover was just boring and felt like she was forced to do it or something lol.

and I would definitely like to be her groupie

WTF?

The human brain has this amazing ability to filter out the bizarre. Bigfoot could walk by your window right now and you probably wouldn’t notice because your brain just doesn’t have time for that s–t.

Here’s another example — I’ve watched every episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation (several times) and I never noticed that Riker doesn’t know how to use a chair. When the guy sits down he pulls the chair back and dramatically slings his leg over the back of it like he’s mounting a freakin’ horse. He apparently does this all the time, regardless of the situation. It’s nuts.

This koala had the worst day ever.
The little guy wandered back to his home in New South Wales, Australia last week only to find it had been cut down and chipped by logging operations. A volunteer with WIRES, a rescue operation licensed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, said the koala had been sitting on top of the wood pile for over an hour looking confused, the Daily Telegraph reported.
He was later taken to a local veterinarian and released near an established colony, but the heartbreaking photo shows some of the hardships faced by the animals over the past few years.
