Yeah, that's a good point. It kind of counts as a mini-rep, and you can't rep the same post twice, so if you like a post enough to actually leave a rep comment, don't give it the finger first.

We'll see how people like it. If it's just kind of clutter in rep comments, we can turn it back off.

FWIW I see these as not needing rep comments as they are stand alone approvals given when a full comment isn't desired by the initiator.

Yeah, it's more just that there's not really any good "record" of them aside from looking back through your own posts, and this gives some semblance of that. I do wish there was a better system, though.

What is it?

It's replacing rep instead of supplementing it. That kinda sucks. Rep messages are fun. And nobody ever thumbs ups enough posts to get them highlighted or vice versa.

I like it just fine but wouldn't be upset if it didn't exist.
