There's some real upside/value to be had if it hit.

Would depend on the cost.

If he'd sign an incentive laden, prove it type of deal, yea his potential is off the charts but he's also constantly injured. Maybe getting him off the NY turf does wonders for him?

Lot of talk that the WR’s in this FA will not get what they want bc the top guys are extended/tagged and the draft class is hurting their market

If Ridley's market gets to like 13-15 a year the Chiefs better be in on that.

Should make it that much easier to sign Mooney.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-04-2024 11:14 AM

The framework is in place for Mooney to take a prove it contract, as he should, with Kansas City

Jerm 03-04-2024 11:15 AM

The rumored number for Mooney (again rumored) is around $10.5 - $11 million...

I could see a team going north of that and I don't know if I'm paying him that.

Per year? Seems a bit steep.

It's just what prognosticators are saying on Twitter...I mean I could see it or more considering the lack of options in FA.

If you can get Mooney on a MVS deal....I'll take it.

Mecca 03-04-2024 11:18 AM

That's the Spotrac number is why they have him at 4-41.

Players will always go high, it’s part of negotiating. Why go low only to be offered lower?

Always ask for a lot.

SHOWTIME 03-04-2024 11:26 AM

We were interested in Evans too...at the end of the day he wanted to stay with that crap franchise.

Multiple teams had Mike Evans on their free agent WR board and were hoping to land him in free agency. RunKC 03-04-2024 11:28 AM

MVS type contract for Mooney is just fine. The first year cap hit for MVS was only $5 million
