I'm about to say a thing I never though I'd say: I have respect for a Frenchman.

After "Prisoners," "Enemy," and "Arrival" I am forced to walk the fence and look my neighbor in the eye while saying "Well done sir..."

Yep. I thought Sicario was pretty damn good too. Love Del Toro. Dark film though.

I caught Get Out this afternoon. It's pretty damn good. Just the right mix of comedy and suspense. Equal parts Tyler Perry and Alfred Hitchcock. Smart story that is a nice departure, for me anyway, from all the rehashed crap coming out of Hollywood.

The dinner scene in Sicario is ice cold

Underrated flick

I had low expectations but it ended up blowing me away.

It did sort of remind me of the Skeleton Key.

Yep. When I read comedy/horror in some of the reviews, I thought I'd hate it, but it was really well done. I think they could've dialed up the tension a little bit more, but overall, I really enjoyed it.

I watched the trailer for this movie after reading your post because I love Alfred Hitchcock and the mix with comedy sounded interesting. At first, I thought this looks really good. Then I decided it looked too scary for me, lol. Looks good if you like horror, but it kind of freaked me out.

I feel pretty confident in saying you won't find it particularly terrifying.

It was really more suspenseful and creepy before becoming thrilling by by the final act.

Thanks. I'm pretty wimpy when it comes to horror, but I might give it a go.

I agree with this. It's terrifying in a Stepford Wives kind of way.

Watched Passengers last night. I thought it was a very good movie. Great acting, lots of suspense, good story. Saw some bad reviews, but watched it anyway. Glad I did!!

Trainspotting 2 opens up nationwide this weekend. Just found out the only theater in Dallas showing it is just down the street from my office. I can't wait to go right after I get off work on Friday!
