The 50th anniversary of the Moon landing is near......

PBS is airing a Summer of Space lineup that includes several different programs tied into Apollo 11. The one I'm looking forward to the most is a 6 hour documentary/movie called Chasing the Moon starting July 8th. It's made by the American Experience folks.

Aww...center core go boom. Looks like it may have diverted - it was quite a ways off the ship.

Yeah, that was weird. The long-range camera made it look like something really wonky happened, but the on-board cameras seemed pretty normal. I'll be curious to see if there's an explanation.
