Man watch those Robinson videos again.

He's got a little bit of Antonio Brown in him.

His hips are really, really fluid. He can make cuts without losing much speed, whereas a guy like Conley can't.

I haven't felt like this since Devard Darling.

Robinson has always had an electric raw athleticism to him. High ceiling low floor to me. Conley has the higher floor. Be great to have them both work out.

Rain Man 08-02-2018 09:54 PM

I was just looking at the twitter feed and wanted to comment on how good Robinson looks, but apparently I'm late to that party. Did he get taller in the offseason?

Hog's Gone Fishin 08-02-2018 10:12 PM

Robinsons gonna have a big year if he's on the field with Sammy and Ty

That was also on Fuller, yes? I think Robinson and Conley are due for a jump just based on the possibility that Mahomes spreads the ball around more. The Watkins addition could help them by taking attention away but also hurt by taking targets.

I've had kind of a Steelers feel about our 3 and 4 WR's recently. Always annoyed me how athletic and productive they have been. We may see some of that ourselves with their potential and the QB spreading the ball around. Them making big plays after a defense successfully covered Hill, Watkins, and Kelce will be a frustrating notion. Much like it has been with PIT.

It will be nice to have a quarterback who even bothers to look for his 3rd and 4th reads. Pat doesn't care which receiver he throws to as long as they're open. Plus he has the ability to throw them open! When was the last time a Kansas City quarterback could do that?

My god. I now wish fans and media weren't allowed to watch training camp practices. This is ridiculous.

Right. You practice in training camp so that you can change your style during a real game. Got it.

I forgot the 50 yard TDs are the only part that are going to carry over from training camp.

Training camp matters a lot.

Sets the tone for the upcoming season.

Bye the end of camp, we should be a fine tuned machine ready to go. There is not time to learn on the job (game time) in the NFL.

I try not to get to excited or deflated with ints or td's but instead look at the overall arc of the camp.

Cool aid drinking and bashing are not even realistic at this point so why bother.

Another big deal is the health of the team entering the season, not enough talented backup on this team to suffer significant injuries.

Unless you have a veteran team that has played a few seasons together, no team is finely tuned anymore until around games 3 or 4. They don't have their game legs until then because throughout preseason they play about a total of 5-6 quarters over 4 games. This year there are only 3 games so.....

ptlyon 08-03-2018 08:31 AM

Any bets on the number today?

3? 2? Just enough to have Crowbarface's head explode?

You need to read the article in the Mahomes thread. Paraphrasing here, but Mahomes says he knows the underneath routes are going to be open, so they are challenging the deeper routes to work on the timing.

lol.

Every QB is 'learning on the job' during game time. Every single one, except maybe a guy like Brady who's seen everything.

Geezus, do you think young players just master their position by the end of training camp? Do you think Carson Wentz had the entire offense down pat last year? Do you think Ben Roethlisberger had the offense down when he trotted out there 3 games into his rookie season?

This whole idea that QB's (young or otherwise) either do not or can not learn on the field during live games is the dumbest take I can think of. It's not just wrong, it's the exact opposite of what is actually true.
