.

And Drake and Kendrick is an apples to apples comparison?

Kendrick is a rapper. Drake is a pop star. Most of Drake's content isn't even rap....Drake's music has an appeal to females that Kendrick's does not.

Comparing actual rappers to pop stars is not apples to apples.

Does a Drake album cost any more than a Kendrick album? No. Is a Drake album easier to listen to than a Kendrick album? No.

Anyone who has a Spotify or Apple Music account can listen to either of these two’s entire catalog.

To have more of an appropriate comparison you could say it’s what comes from the ingredients in the burgers. One artist takes their time making a good burger with quality ingredients. The other uses a bunch of cheap processed shit to produce a bunch more. Obviously the one with more will produce a lot more diarrhea to fill the stream!

People always say this but which songs in Drake’s catalog are pop?

Dude’s been consistently putting out music for over 15 years now and the vast majority of it is heavily R&B and rap influenced.

I mean, I’m sorry Kendrick is one-dimensional and can’t reach as wide an audience as Drake can..? Dude’s got smash R&B, rap, pop, and even afrobeats hits. It’s tough to compete, I know.

Sure. At what point do we start to question how good a chef the guy really is when it takes him 5 years to make a new burger?

People always say this because it's true, LOL.

That entire For All the Dogs album was ****ing pop trash. Dude has a couple of rap songs mixed into what's an otherwise girly pop album. That's his recipe.

Calling Drake rap is like calling Blink 182 Punk Rock. Like....no...just no.

Blink 182 is "punk rock" for girls and Drake is "rap" for girls.

I definitely think it’s much easier for a chef to tarnish their legacy trying to do much instead of sticking to what they know. Kind of like Drake tarnished his pop legacy by trying to delve into the hip hop world.

Nah, this is elitist garbage.

For All the Dogs was equal parts rap and R&B. That has literally been his formula since 2010. Sometimes he’ll go a little heavy on the rap (If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late) and other times he’ll go a little heavier on the R&B (So Far Gone) but in general he dabbles in both.

I think people just parrot the pop angle they hear from someone else because very, very little of his discography is truly pop.

Comments like these let me know that you just don’t pay any attention to Drake at all, which is weird given how commercially successful he’s been. Dude’s been chatting with rap songs for over 15 years now and you’re acting like he just started dabbling in it with this Kendrick beef.

This is legit not even the first rap beef he’s been involved in! You’ve gotta get a grip on reality.
