The X-Men were created in the 1960s amidst the Civil Rights Movement. Clear parallels there.

They had the Legacy Virus in the 90s with clear parallels to the AIDS epidemic.

Clear LGBT parallels in the Bryan Singer trilogy, as well as throughout X-Men history.

Now they’ve got a non binary shapeshifter and all of a sudden it’s “woke”?

Last episode was kinda dumb and pointless, hoping next one is better.

It felt like filler. They probably wanted to let things breath a little, which I can understand but it did feel like a whole lot of not much happened.
