As he matures he'll get better on the scoring side (that teardrop he shows sometimes will get more consistent and he'll get better at finishing around the rim) and the game won't be nearly as fast to him. In an offense with young, small guards, if they can't finish at the rim, you're going to get a lot of sloppy looking drives. That's why Phillips sucks so much. He's too slow to beat someone off the dribble, and on the off chance he does drive into the paint, he's not athletic or strong enough to finish, which means he has to try and thread the needle to pass out of it.
