Yep. Ohair has got to be having trouble breathing with the pressure on his chest right now.

Bowser 03-29-2009 05:49 PM

Tiger's getting pretty rocked up. Dude has some arms.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-29-2009 05:51 PM

Welcome back Tiger.

mlyonsd 03-29-2009 05:52 PM

Frigging awesome.

Jerm 03-29-2009 05:53 PM

LOL who didn't see that coming?

Miller, Hicks, and co. have got the lip balm on and are ready haha.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-29-2009 05:53 PM

The look on his face there was awesome.

kstater 03-29-2009 05:53 PM

That's pretty cool shot there. After all the wins, he still looked like a little kid when that putt went in.

'Hamas' Jenkins 03-29-2009 05:53 PM

Absolutely perfect. O'Hair just played his nuts off the first two days and didn't have enough to sustain it.

Tiger played great and that putt on 18 was nuts but it just amazes me how guys in front of him or playing with him just absolutely bend over for him...it's hilarious.

Someone needs to slap O'Hair back into reality after this I would suspect.

KC_Connection 03-29-2009 06:55 PM

Just when you think Tiger can't surprise you anymore, he goes and does more ridiculous things.

Tiger is going to destroy Phil in a couple of weeks.

Watching Tiger Sunday was motivational. Coming back from 5 down was awesome.

Coogs 04-03-2009 12:29 PM

Mickelson is +5 and is going to be at least 11 shots back once the first round is completed in Houston today.

You don't suppose Tiger winning in his 3rd event back in the fashion that he did messed with Phil's head a bit do you?

Lefty's in a funk. He made two triples today and is almost at the bottom of the leaderboard (+9). Bad timing for the Masters.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-04-2009 12:10 PM

I doubt it messed with his head. If anything, he's probably looking ahead to Augusta and just wants to get the **** out of Houston for some extra prep time. Hell, this is a guy who will play the week before a major, but if the event is really close, hop his jet to the major course for a practice round the week of the other tournament.

Stewie 04-04-2009 12:19 PM

Johnny Miller said Mickelson is trying to fix two parts of his swing. I only heard part of what he was talking about, but one of the fixes is opening up his stance. I can only assume if that's what he's trying the other part is he'll have to be more inside out through impact.

Opening up is a pretty easy fix, relatively speaking. The two other major flaws he had in his swing were

1) He tended to lose flex in his trailing leg (left for him) on the backswing, which elevated his hips and threw his plane off

2) As a result of 1, he would get too long in the back swing and get way across the line at the top, which gave him a steep downswing and made it very difficult for him to hit it consistently straight without impeccable timing in his hands.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-04-2009 02:21 PM

FWIW, if he's opening up, it's b/c he wants to hit a high fade into the greens at Augusta, because they hold that shot much better, and because the course layout is far more preferential to someone with a right-left ball flight (which is a fade for Phil).

Braincase 04-07-2009 11:05 AM

I figured out to properly hit a flop shot. Every time I nail it, Tyler Hansbrough falls over.

Must say the Picture in Picture feature is pretty cool!!!!!! :thumb:

And Furyk just tied for the lead at -5 with Campbell, Larry Mize  , and Katayama.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-09-2009 02:45 PM

Chad Campbell is just massacring this course right now. So much for people bitching that Augusta isn't conducive to scores any more.

With that said, it looks like Mickelson, Garcia, and a few others shot themselves out of the tourney by carding 73s.

8 back after the first day is hardly the tournament but if they do not fire a solid round tomorrow it will be.

Normally, I would agree with you, but with these scoring conditions, it will be hard to make up ground.

The organizers will make it much harder tomorrow. Campbell will drop (in fact he's already begun that drop).

WilliamTheIrish 04-09-2009 05:17 PM

Wow. Tiger flies over the pin and off the green on 18. Pitches on, but too hard and it rolls all the way to middle of the green. Makes a nice putt to set up bogey.

Boy he gets pissed. I love that about him.

WilliamTheIrish 04-09-2009 05:17 PM

Stu Cink finishes with A 70.

Dartgod 04-09-2009 05:18 PM

KC_Connection 04-09-2009 05:20 PM

4. R. Sabbatini
5. A. Baddeley
6. L. Mize
7. B. Crenshaw

Scoring looks like it won't be nearly as low as yesterday, if the early groups are a good indication. From what I've been seeing, Amen Corner is eating people up today, especially 12 - seen a lot of balls in the water...

Believe the announcer just said that holes 11 and 12 are playing the toughest today both over par in scoring averages and no birdies on either yet. He just announced that 12 is playing to a 3.90 almost a full stoke average over par. I have to admit 12 is fun to watch that gust comes over the trees and it is amazing that a 144 yard hole is playing so tough.

Yeah, watching that hole is crazy - seems like at least 1-2 in every group are putting it in the water. Would be a great place to camp out if you were in the gallery.

Just saw Anthony Kim's card for today - he's birdied 6 of his first 8 holes. Would love to see him get into contention...

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-10-2009 02:16 PM

11 is ****ing ridiculous. It used to be such a great hole, but they've extended it too far, and there just isn't a lot of shot value there. 12 is a great hole, though.

Tiger is not pleased.

OnTheWarpath15 04-10-2009 02:21 PM

Anthony Kim tore that ****er up today.

ELEVEN birdies, a new Masters record.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-10-2009 04:01 PM

So, I go to get my hair cut after Phil hits a gigantic splay cut into the trees at 11

"He's ****ing done" I tell myself.

Bogeys 11, then goes birdie-eagle on 12 and 13. That's ****ing amazing. Has a decent look at bird on 14.

If he can get to -2, he's given himself a chance. Realistically, I think you have to look at the lead as being -6, and not -9. I don't think Chad Campbell or Kenny Perry can sustain this kind of golf.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-10-2009 04:02 PM

Wow. How did that not drop?
