Potato season opened up last Thursday. But only for hash browns and baked potatoes. French fry season doesn't open until next week.

As another random thought, I wonder if there's some sort of prize for the 1,000th post in this thread.

Honestly, I didn't even know the potatoes were still migrating. I thought that usually happened later in the fall.

Mr. Flopnuts 08-17-2009 03:50 PM

Who knew the CP twitter thread would reach 1000 posts?

I didn't.

What is church for if not for shooting potatoes in the air.

I think you've got a nice board here, but it really needs some Favre threads. And maybe his picture as the logo. And maybe call it Favre Planet.

Here's a random thought: merge up the 15 Favre threads cluttering up your first 2 pages, and dump all that shit into one single pile. :retching:

She's not my first choice from that show (that would be Jennifer Aniston) but I'd still hit it; she's looking a bit drawn and plastic-surgery-ish but the body's still not bad. She's got a new TV show coming out soon.

Finally got around to watching "The Bourne Identity". Holy crap, what a mangled piece of shit film they made out of a very solid Robert Ludlum novel.

Also just watched "Napoleon Dynamite" for the first time. Hugely underwhelmed by it. Aside from reaffirming my slightly-bizarre infatuation with the strangely-cute Tina Majorino, it did nothing for me. Didn't find it funny, didn't find it quirky, didn't find it interesting or even remotely having a point.

I didn't notice them til they were done and out of their van smoking cigarettes.... they're gross though.

Now I'm sitting her contemplating if I need to chase these kids skateboarding with their ramp out of the parking lot.

I wept because this last one sucked so bad. I can't stand having to watch it. It makes the last film look like friggin' "Citizen Kane"....

I just find it very hard to hate any Harry Potter movie.

I was really pissed that I missed the first couple minutes this afternoon. There's few things in life I like better than a dark, empty theater, me, some butterfingers, and Harry Potter. It gives me the warm fuzzies.

And they're still airing the Christmas-themed Enzyte commercial. Smilin' Bob in a Santa suit. Gotta admire a company that says, "F**k it, we'll save money, just run that Christmas commercial all year long."

Unrelated note: the mom in that rollover-minutes commercial, who keeps hounding her kids to use the old minutes? I want to shut her up in a particular way, if you know what I mean...

While playing Madden career mode, something struck me: ever since the online subscription world was introduced, there's absolutely no reason why they cant have one CD they sell you, and then update graphics and rosters through service packs each year. Methinks there is SOMEHOW money to be made off of saving people from buying a $60/year game, but rather offering less expensive updates to the game.
