I'm also not a fan of it because they're going to ask for a new stadium in 15-20 years so it makes no sense to not just build it now or ask for it now.

The parking deck is the one that caught my eye. I worked on a feasibility study once that involved rough budget estimates for building a parking garage, and the contractor's back-of-the-napkin estimate was around $30k per parking space to build a garage (and this was 5+ years ago). It's nuts how much money those things cost.

To build an asphalt road, it's a million dollars per mile.

I'm guessing they don't want to build a new stadium where the current one is, so this is either a way to just get by or it's a way to force the move now.

Why don't they just say that?

Cause they want to be in JoCo?

Just guessing here.... they don't want it to look like they abandoned Arrowhead; they want it to look like they were left with no choice but to move on.

It's old as hell, anyone with any common sense should realize where it's going.

My favorite is how part of the plan is to expand the gigantic parking lot instead of putting some other things around the stadium.

What other things do you think will work around the TSC? Some 50 odd years tells us it works football baseball and select concerts and monster truck events. It gets large amounts of people ln parked and out. That is it it is within 10 miles of the plaza and downtown kc. If you don't like to drive 10 miles well don't go. People at least for the chiefs are not choosing the don't go option. This plan has options for folks to lift and Uber with public transportation options where at best there have been none that were easy and doable. Maybe they could provide electric scooter racks and rent those scooters to folks who don't automobile. They can get to there precious downtown by using them scooters on those empty bicycle lanes.

Vote no, let them leave

1. I've been to games so there's your response to that. Not a season ticket holder or anything but I generally go to at least one game a year, sometimes two or 3.

2. I have no problem with the extended tax but I expected more exciting stuff. Not general improvements that they would have made anyways or shit like expanded parking lots that face a different direction!

3. I'll never be in a suite or be in the VIP thing in the end zone because 1. I can't afford a suite, and 2. The endzone area has the worst viewing angle of any place in the stadium. Those things are targeted for people with money who don't give a shit about the actual game and just want to be somewhere trendy they can party.

I don't know why wanting and expecting more for $800mil ($500 of which is coming from us) is such a bad thing to you

So are they counting on the proposal being voted down?

It was very very underwhelming.

They don't care what you do once you're there, they just want the $.

What would you like to see them specifically do that they aren't doing?

I have no idea. Just spit balling. If it passes, they do minor improvements to get them through the next 10+ years; at which point they could build a new stadium. If it doesn't pass, they build the stadium somewhere else.

It's perfect there. It's people mover property and within 10 miles of that party palace known as downtown KCMo.

Bad roads, bad schools, trash everywhere, homeless everywhere, abandoned houses, meth labs, stolen vehicles homicides... All things these tax revenues should be solving.

We were told the benefits of power and light when the taxpayers paid for it. So far that debt interest is still being paid for by the taxpayer and the entire project is still in the red.
