at least in the NBA this summer has a chance to change the landscape again. (KD, Kyrie, AD etc could all move). NFL is literally the same. Franchise QBs stay put, teams overpay for FAs at positions that almost dont matter or swing the Win/Loss column in either direction.

Last 20 years

NFL 11 different champions
NBA 8

Also the Patriots don't have to collude with players already under contract with other teams, nor is the NFL draft a waste like the NBA, The NFL caters to all markets NBA is only about big markets/

The NBA got less viewers last Saturday in primetime than the AAF. That speaks volumes.

I think it's time for the CLIPPERS to change their name

Frat douche with a hot take. It sure is exciting watching the same team win it every year and all the good players only going to 2 or 3 teams. Who could forget the awesome trades where a team gives up something for a player then releases said player. Whew that should have anyone on the edge of their seat!

Personally, I like when the best team wins. That's just me. I don't like the NCAA Tournament Format, or the NFL playoff format where luck comes into play. At least in the NFL teams get home games so it makes it less lucky. Best of 5, Best of 7. I love it.

How do you guys watch this shit?

I am a huge NBA fan but

NBA Regular season = total shit

NBA Playoffs = awesome (maybe the best in all of sports)

I probably have watched maybe 5 games this year, the regular season is just so pointless

NBA MVP Race IMO
1. James Harden 36.6 PPG, 44% FG, 37% 3FG, 6.7 RPG, 7.7 APG, 5.4 TPG
2. Paul George 38.7 PPG, 45% FG, 41% 3FG, 8.0 RPG, 4.1 APG, 2.3 SPG, 2.6 TPG
3. Giannis 27.2 PPG, 58% FG, 12.7 RPG, 6.0 APG, 1.4 BLKPG
4. Steph Curry 28.6 FG, 48% FG, 44% 3FG (probably too low honestly)
5. Kawhi
6. Embiid
7. Westbrook
8. Greg Ostertag

I never watch the NBA regular season so I had to go double check Georges PPG you had listed there.

While you're somewhat right here, the past 2 or 3 drafts have been pretty awesome.

I have it:

PG
Giannis
Harden

But I'm biased I guess cause o absolutely despise hardens playstyle. But what PG is going on both offense and defense is amazing. He could win both MVP and DPOY if he keeps it up.

Sorry mean 28.7 PPG. Typo for George.

KC_Connection 02-14-2019 08:44 PM

Westbrook is pretty garbage this year BTW. Counting stats are still there but his efficiency has dropped off a cliff. Looks to be in decline.

KC_Connection 02-14-2019 08:45 PM

And Harden is definitely going to win MVP. The last person who averaged this many PPG was Michael Jordan in 1987 (his Bulls went on to get swept by the Celtics in the first round that year, which of course, is not counted against him because they didn't make the Finals).

ChiefsCountry 02-14-2019 09:05 PM

I like the Greek Freak for MVP right now.

I bet Westbrook could almost double his efficiency if he just stopped shooting 3's and midrange jumpers - like a Ben Simmons.

He's really frustrating in he doesn't seem to know - or care about - his limitations. But I'm willing to guess this is a bit of an aberration. It's all shooting. Usually as players age they SHOOT BETTER, not worse. He's at career low in FT shooting % and 3 FG %. Makes no sense. Someone get him set up with an eye doctor to check his vision.

KC_Connection 02-14-2019 09:46 PM

Career 80% FT shooter shooting 65% this year from the line. It is pretty bizarre.

He also can't hit a three anymore, which he was decent at two years ago.

Two years ago was really the only time he was a decent 3 point shooter but agree the overall the shooting drop and partially FT percentage is odd. There has been the excuse of him not being able to do his old routine of walking out to 3 pt line after ever FT. That seems to tie to when the drop happens but still really odd of that being something causing him to shoot FT like a no touch big.
