He was going to play on the tag.

We weren't willing to make him do so.

There's zero chance a guy with $4 million in career earnings says he won't take $20 million guaranteed to play for a year. He's set for life at that point.

So again - another bluff called. And agents will remember.

I guarantee you if you asked the Chiefs, they'd tell you McDuffie is better.

Now the Chiefs have the added cap room to resign guys like Donovan Smith and MEHHHH.

Get excited.

Got it.

That's a great history lesson and all but ultimately it's not a move that makes the Chiefs better in 2024.

That's assuming they would be signing players that would count vs the formula.

Are you this dumb? The only way the Chiefs were going to get ANY compensation was by tagging him and then trading him. By tagging and trading him at least we got something. Other he’s a free agent and we’d get nothing. Once again Veach is playing chess.

Fist a collie.

I think this is a weird circumstance, 4th round pick, lot of injury history, janky knee.

It’ll be more than just Danna getting a deal lol.

Come on man smh

Burt think he can really find these guys like Home Depot laborers?

Comp pick would be in 2026 as well

Sassy Squatch 03-22-2024 09:43 PM

LMAO Acting like this dude is a brokedick when he's NEVER MISSED A GAME DUE TO HIS KNEE. He's sat out two games after his brother died and missed a week 18 game where we'd already locked up the division.

4th round value.

The 3rd isn't even this season.

Like I said, it's an awful trade.

They should've kept him. Restructure other guys and kick the can until after Kelce retires.

This is just god-awful resource management. It's just bad. There's no sugar coating it at all. The team is worse than it was 2 hours ago and got next to nothing in return.

Yeah, it is.

Probably only so much can kicking they can do, but I'd have preferred that.

The only exception is if his knee is hamburger and we'll be hamstringing ourself financially for an asset unlikely to return.

You just changed the discussion into a straw man.

I said Sneed made more sense than Danna for 2024.
