Personally I thought it was one of the dumbest things I've watched in a very long time. In every single action scene there is at least one amazingly illogical and moronic decision made or something that makes no sense.

Pratt's character seemed to be the only one in the movie that could think. His performance was good and I probably would have just given up on the whole thing if not for him...

This is the kind of movie that you either have to completely buy in or you're not going to enjoy it.

Sorry you didn't like it, dude. :(

Wrong. I want to see what others thought about the movie, without knowing what happens. It's a $50 investment for two people, imax, 3d, popcorn etc.

Looking forward to seeing it this weekend. Was going to see Entourage first, but think I'll just wait until DVD for that. I mean, I'd rather see the popcorn flix in 3d, Imax etc rather than a dialogue driven movie.

I think kids and young teens will enjoy it. It's a summer action movie with dinos. There is violence but I wouldn't call it overly bloody or gory.

If you go in as an adult trying to entertain your kids you'll probably leave happy. I think my problem was expecting too much because I held the first film in pretty high regard. I liked how you actually learned information about real world creatures as the film went on. It seemed like they wanted you to both learn a little something and have fun in the first flick.

There was really none of that in this one. Pure dinos doin' stuff...

An interesting quirk that some fans have noticed is that Pratts character Owen doesn't actually do anything heroic. Meaning he never saves anyone.

Theres a scene during the pterodactyl attack where Bryce Howards character rescues Pratts. Then they all jump in the car with the kids and the kids say something like "I want to stay with him!"

Its played for laughs, but it doesn't make any sense logistically because at that point the kids had not witnessed Owen do anything heroic except shoot at a few pterodactyls.

Probably unrealistic expectations on my part. Part of it was expecting too much and part of it was this flick being Michael Bay directs dinos doin' stuff...

At the end when the raptors were with the I-Rex, they would have died if he hadn't of been there.

I guess that would technically clarify as saving them.

Yep. Technically she saved him twice.

Howard basically was Ripley from Aliens.

Exactly.

Other than not being prepared in any way to be in that situation, was a completely selfish twunt, and wore high heels the whole movie...

While I enjoyed the movie, the dino's didn't do enough. I wanted to see people really get shredded. No one really did.

Unfortunately Hollywood is all about money now and I think it wasn't that graphic because they wanted more money making it PG-13.
PG-13=bigger audience=more money.

I liked it, but it's pure popcorn. I'm not sure I can remember much about it 3 days later. Or 3 minutes after it was over. But I still had fun.

The plot was godawful. It didn't matter, though, for this movie. People just wanted to see the dinosaurs looking good again after a long time away.

The plot was insanely stupid. People sick of seeing dinosaurs after only 22 years? Come on. Zoos are still popular. Disney World doesn't have new rides very often, and it's still breaking attendance records.

They should have found a different way to introduce the new dinosaur. Which was also stupid. Because whenever they needed it to do something, they just added an animal. Oh, we need it to camoflage? Okay, cuttlefish. Need it to talk to raptors? Done. Bleh. The end battle was just dinosaur porn, which is fine, but I wanted something smarter.
