I seem to recall somebody telling me Drew wasn't a legitimate candidate for playing on Sundays.

:hmmm:

'Hamas' Jenkins 11-24-2017 03:25 PM

Moore has single handedly killed two drives, costing the team at least four and up to eleven points.

:hmmm:

If he can't throw anything inside of 50 yards with touch, he won't.

At this point, Lock is a long drive champion, not a tour player.

Sassy Squatch 11-24-2017 03:51 PM

What the **** was that dude thinking?

Sassy Squatch 11-24-2017 03:55 PM

How did they start at the 25?

Titty Meat 11-24-2017 04:07 PM

Future NFL WR right there

Sassy Squatch 11-24-2017 04:19 PM

What the actual ****, Moore?

baitism 11-24-2017 04:19 PM

Imagine if Lock had receivers that could actually catch the ball.

Titty Meat 11-24-2017 04:24 PM

Mizzou misses Marcus Loud

GloryDayz 11-24-2017 04:26 PM

baitism 11-24-2017 04:27 PM

It's like watching the Chiefs D.

GloryDayz 11-24-2017 04:28 PM

Shit.

Pepe Silvia 11-24-2017 04:29 PM

Moore had to **** Mizzou one last time.

NewChief 11-24-2017 04:42 PM

Mizzou May still pull away but it amazes me how odds makers are that good. A 7 point spread seemed like an insanely sure thing and it’s looking like this will be a nail biter.

GloryDayz 11-24-2017 04:49 PM

AK came to play, there's no questioning that..

GloryDayz 11-24-2017 04:52 PM

Wow!

Frazod 11-24-2017 04:53 PM

That was pathetic.

Pepe Silvia 11-24-2017 04:57 PM

Here come the refs, this is exactly like the basketball game 4 years ago.

GloryDayz 11-24-2017 05:05 PM

Out guys, time to head for the cabin for youth hunt weekend.

Y'all have fun..

'Hamas' Jenkins 11-24-2017 05:13 PM

Has anyone ever missed a big field goal against Missouri late in the game?

Frazod 11-24-2017 05:22 PM

Why would they not take the penalty there?

Sassy Squatch 11-24-2017 05:22 PM

Is he high?

'Hamas' Jenkins 11-24-2017 05:23 PM

Mother**** you, Moore.

Sassy Squatch 11-24-2017 05:23 PM

**** the **** off, Moore.

dlphg9 11-24-2017 05:24 PM

****ing Moore is junk. I'd sit his worthless ass

WhawhaWhat 11-24-2017 05:27 PM

Why did they call TO with 9 secs left?

Sassy Squatch 11-24-2017 05:27 PM

What?

'Hamas' Jenkins 11-24-2017 05:28 PM

What the hell was Odom thinking there, space you need to let the clock run all the way down to two seconds so when he kicks the field goal the game is over.

Frazod 11-24-2017 05:29 PM

Bielema may be the dumbest **** to ever roam the sidelines. But thanks!

Frazod 11-24-2017 05:30 PM

Whew.

WhawhaWhat 11-24-2017 05:31 PM

My heart dropped when they missed the sack on that last play. I fully expected a long TD pass at that point.

We are thrilled. We wanted no possible chance of him returning. A win wouldn’t bring him back, but it would have made something people would have discussed. This loss was icing on the shit cake.

Arkansas kicked a fg with around 4:00 to go to tie. Missouri drove down to the goal line and kicked a fg with just seconds to go.

Also: I don’t understand why people hate on Bert the person so badly. He was a “good guy” who treated players well and emphasized the right things in the program. Or academics improved greatly and off field problems was near nil. Which was a huge difference from Petrino years. He preached character and discipline. Sadly, he just wasn’t even close to prepared to be a HC in the SEC. I also dislike his slovenly appearance and obesity in someone who preaches discipline. That being said, I wish him well and future success.

Bielema’s fate has been sealed since the near loss to Coastal Carolina. They just didn’t want to sully senior day and let him coach those guys to the end.

He came off as an arrogant sonofabitch with no reason to be such. I will miss him because as a fan of both Mizzou and the MAC, I knew both always had a chance when he was on the opposing sideline.

:hmmm:

Both interceptions were his fault. On the first, if he either waits or throws the ball more towards the pylon with a higher arc, it's likely on a touchdown. On the second, if he throws the ball with more arc, it's likely a touchdown and not a pick. He was high on multiple throws today, one of which should have been a back-breaking pick six, and while the receivers could have helped him out more on those catches, and they outright ****ed him on several others (I'm looking at you, Moore and Johnson), he can't just rifle everything. His WRs need to catch the ball better full stop. However, he does share some blame. You can't only throw darts; you also have to throw balloons at darts. Until he can do that, he's not a serious pro prospect, because all you have to do is play Cover 3 to take away the deep ball and tackle well at the line.

It never seemed like a sure thing to anyone that watched this team early in the year, and watched the defense regress so badly in discipline and tackling against Vanderbilt. In the last three halves they've given up 17 (lucky it wasn't 31), 28, and 17 points.

Mizzou has the same problem they've always had on defense--because they can't recruit enough elite athletes, they suffer immensely in the back seven. Thus, they have to be quick and aggressive in the front to create enough negative plays to stall drives. Garrett is just an awful MLB, and teams have consistently abused him all year. He'd be a great player for North Dakota State, but he doesn't have the athleticism (and honestly, the discipline) to play in the SEC. The OLBs are athletic, but not athletic enough to thrive in the conference, and their tackling and position are always a point of consternation. The safeties are stiff and slow, and the CBs, while rangy, are thin and lack top end speed, which means they can be simultaneously manhandled by physical receivers or burned by fast ones.

Any offense will blast Mizzou if they mix slants and bombs because of those reasons.

He needs to find a good D coordinator. New coach thrown in the fire, may have made a mistake in setting up his staff.

Having shown signs of life as a head coach, recruiting should improve. Plus a little distance from the post-Ferguson turmoil should help. They REALLY needed this late season success.

Now they need to get the defense fixed.

They won six in a row, most by a stupid margin (after losing 5 in a row...never been done before in the SEC). They did all they could against the schedule they had.

Powers was coach when I started at Mizzou too. Both the football and basketball teams were really good when I was there. It's been hard watching both go through the tremendous lows. I went to the Auburn game this year and saw them get totally destroyed. Props to the coaches for motivating the team not to quit. They've had a really good season. And Mizzou Basketball with a big win yesterday too.

I'd like to see Mizzou-Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl. That would be a fun match up.

I would be shocked if Walters is not the next DC. It would a basically title-only situation, as I think Odom is going to be the coordinator from now on, building the defense and calling the plays. He almost lost his job and had things blow up when he trusted another guy to be the coordinator; don't think he will do that again.

And I'm fine with that. Walters is a good recruiter with a good eye for talent. What I'd like to see in addition to that is bringing in a young, dynamic recruiter to the staff. Maybe that's officially promoting AJ Ofodile to an assistant spot and moving Cornell Ford back to defense. Don't know.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Andy Hill retires after this year. He's been in Columbia a LONG time (20 years now).
