They were talking about it on the radio,610, just like we are here. This is just not a CP thing.

No one thinks it will happen. Just hypothetical.

It's just hypothetical until Nick Athan says otherwise.

Against the best defense in the NFL.

The 49ers scored as many points as the New England Patriots did in the Super Bowl vs. the Giants.

Williams fumbled twice, the final time in Giants territory, so yeah.

25th in points allowed, 19th in rushing defense, 29th in pass defense and 8th in takeaways.

12th/16th in DVOA and late-season weighted DVOA respectively.

I get the argument for saying it's an above average defense at worst, but to say they were the best by most objective measures doesn't follow.

Tannehill is done and the rest of the division dusks so that's 6 wins alone. Brady never losses at home so that's 6 games. They have their best offense ever IMO.

Think about this. Brady has made the SB in 46% of his years starting healthy for the Pats. There's a better chance that Tom Brady makes the SB than Steph Curry has making a 3 point shot.

He was a great game manager who was clutch for his first three SBs (2001,2003,2004). Look at his stats.

2001 - 63.9 comp %, 2,814 yds, 18 TDs, 12 INTs, 86.5 Rate
2003 - 60.9 compl %, 3620 yds, 23 TDs, 12 INTs, 85.9 Rate
2004 - 60.8 compl %, 3692 yds, 28 TDs, 14 INTs, 92.6 Rate

Nothing spectacular there. They won mostly because of their D back then. Now they win mostly because of their O but their D is still very good (#8 in total yds, #1 in league ppg last year giving up just 15.6 ppg).

Pats are more than just Tom Brady. Obviously he is the main reason but there is a lot of reasons for the Pats success. It isn't just him. They went 11-5 with Matt Cassell as their QB not that long ago.

Team game. So it is not a forgone conclusion that they will win. There's a lot that can happen. Maybe their D or Oline sucks this year and if that is the case they won't win again. So you never know.

Their D, particularly their Dline, was never healthy until the playoffs. Once they were they shut down everyone including offenses led by Matt Ryan, Rodgers and Brady.

I think you stole that tweet from Stephen a Smith. Wrong sport bro

This is incorrect.

In 2003 Brady was 6th in the league in passing, 10th in TDs and had SEVEN game-winning drives.

In 2004 he was 10th in the league in passing, 6th in TDs, 9th in yards per attempt and 5th in yards per completion.

Those aren't game manager numbers. Those are top ten passing numbers.

60% completion and a 2:1 TD ratio is absolute shit compared to what he put up 5 years later.

Move along.

Not sure why so many people have a vested interest in a mediocre QB been the best guy on the field

Missed my point.

Tannehill has a $96 Million contract that pays him through 2020.

Like i said, Smith would be a 1 year rental.

It doesn't make a lick of sense for the Dolphins, and he's too valuable for the Chiefs to let him go for any less than a 2nd this season.

Fun to think about? Sure. But not grounded in reality.

The NFL has changed a lot in the last 15 years buddy.

5000 yards in a season was unheard of just a few years ago. Now there is someone doing it every season. cant compare stats from when they allowed defense to play to stats in 2017.

TOP TEN passing numbers.

Facts, not fiction.

Brady's prolific passing was a huge part of those championship teams in 2003 and 2004.
