There are LOTS of ways you can answer that question without being a raging douchecanoe.

He chose poorly.

Be honest and say his paycheck is better.

How about this:

“Both organizations have been great to me and I’ve learned a lot from the coaches on both staffs. I’m thankful for the opportunity that the Chiefs gave him, and I’m happy to be a 49er today.”

I'm thinking he's not very good with words. And he was probably lying. That said I hope we smoke him deep for a TD. **** him!

How is there any pressure on us in this game? The pressure is literally ALL on San Francisco.

They’ve lost something like 3 Super Bowls in a row. Their fans are getting antsy for them to get one again.

They lost to this same franchise 4 years ago. Losing to them again would be devastating.

If Shanahan loses this game, he will start to become known as a huge playoff choker. This also might be CMC, Kittle, Bosa etc best chance for a ring in their careers. Our guys have all the hay in the barn with two rings already. Another is just a legacy builder.

I feel like having a pro Niners crowd puts even more pressure on them too. They’re going to feel the weight of the home crowd and the murmurs if things start going badly, while the Chiefs can continue to play the road villain, us against the world mentality they’ve used all postseason.

TLDR: Waaaaaayyyy more pressure on SF than KC.

Huge pressure on both teams for different reasons. KC has a chance to join the Dynasty Club.

The fact that the SB is gonna be a ton of 49er and Raiders fans is awesome. Wouldn't have it any other way.

They've been the villain the last 2 games going on the road and shutting people up. You know they're loving it.

I actually think it's pretty awesome that Davis just dresses like a normal chode and meanwhile Clark is always in a suit

Nick Wright has this exactly right. Mahomes has had great moments and great periods of play in the Super Bowl but he hasn’t had just a dominant game from start to finish with big stats. So it only makes sense that in his worst statistical season, he puts out a perfect and huge game from start to finish and we are celebrating a victory at the start of the fourth quarter.

Mahomes effectively played a perfect game in the SB last season.

+1. The Eagles scripted a perfect game plan to give him limited opportunities on the field and he literally made the most out of almost every one.
