AD and James have had the injury bug all year and the Lakers just aren't running on all cylinders at this point. I'm not expecting the Lakers to get swept but this is a super tough matchup for them and it's difficult for me to believe they'll make it out of this round. |
Quote:
AD should be at the 5 most of the time and Gasol (who spaces the floor and plays better defense than Drummond) should be on the floor when he isn't out there. |
Quote:
Things still might click for them again, but with LeBron playing on an injured ankle that has clearly impacted his lift, AD playing tentative on his own injured calf, and the rest of the Lakers being more or less complete bums, I certainly wouldn't bet on it. This title is the Nets' to lose and has been since they added Harden for nothing. |

Have had a few of these recently here but we need to add the fake title one to the card. |

NBA defense is incredible. The fact that these guys can still score as much as they do is impressive.

Not sure what you're missing here. |
Fairweather NBA fan, I only care/pay attention when the Suns are good so it's been a while. I've watched maybe 15 games this season, as good as this Suns team is the Nash/Stoudemire/Marion team was way more fun to watch. That said, **** the Lakers, Suns in 6.

LeBron having to be carried by teammates again

Mavs up 2-0 on the Clippers. This may be all she wrote for the Clippers.

Patrick was at the mav game tonight. Was 3/3 in 3 pointers

Luka is the new/next Curry. Love watching that kid.
Even Patrick knows what's up. https://www.yardbarker.com/nba/artic...1_127_35000495 |

The poor Suns got screwed. had the year they had and then have to play the Lakers who were injured most of the year.
|
Quote:
Had Chris Paul been healthy and played a full game last night, the final score would have likely been very different. |

Doncic shitting on Pat Bev is so entertaining. Even funnier by the fact Pat Bev just meekly takes both the verbal abuse and abuse on the court.

I guess the question now is whether or not they can get it together in time to avoid elimination. If Chris Paul remains injured throughout the series, the Lakers have a much better chance of moving on to the next round but if he plays, all bets are off, IMO. |
Lakers will beat the suns and nuggets and I predict will take Utah in 7
|
Quote:
Now I don't think they will win the title this year, I think AD and LeBron are just slowed down a little too much but I can't get myself to believe in the Suns. |
I had no idea that Ayton has such shitty hands. I'm not sure what the Suns are thinking, but dude just doesn't look like a max-deal player.

Anything can happen of course. if I could predict sports like that I'd just be in Vegas gambling instead of working but I doubt they make it to finals this year. Just too much stacked against them. |
Awesome to see the Garden full of fans
|
|
If LeBron wins a title this year, I will officially put him in front of Jordan. Right now I have them tied or Jordan ahead, but only by a little bit.
It's unfortunate, though. LeBron is not the peoples champ. He chose to be a divisive diva. He could have been so much more. Imagine if his persona was like Patrick Mahomes? |
Quote:
This doesn’t surprise me at all considering your football takes. |
Quote:
They have the 2 best players in the NBA. How are the odds stacked against them? LMAO They should be the favorites in the West. |
Philly Fans keeping it classy I see.

2. Also that you would put Lebron ahead if they win it this year. |
Miami is just horrible. Worst team to make a final in my lifetime. Even with it being an asterisk one, there is still no excuse.
|
Quote:
Don’t think they’ll be winning anything this year, though, for many reasons. One of them is that LeBron legitimately seems to be playing at about 50%. He can’t drive to the basket right now and has no lift at all. Definitely the worst I’ve ever seen him look in the playoffs. |

|
Quote:
Oh I hope they do make it out of the West so the Nets can embarrass them. |
Quote:
The only teams that are worrisome is the nets (hard to imagine they don’t beat us in 6) or the mavs - I really like their spunk- |
I can't come to terms with the fact that either the Hawks or the Knicks are going to advance into the next round of the NBA Playoffs.
Maybe it's finally the Bucks year? All I know is that if Jokic and the Nuggets win it all I'm going to kill myself. It's Joel Embiid's time. |

I'm really rooting for the Suns and particularly the Blazers. Lillard and Booker are two of my favorite players.
But it ain't looking good.. |
As I said earlier, I'm a fairweather NBA fan and only watch when the Suns are good so take this with a grain of salt. I don't know if its league wide or just Phoenix but the Nash/Stoudemire/Marion team would wipe the floor with this current team. Is the talent as a league just down compared to a decade ago or is this just a Phoenix thing? Booker and Ayton are nice players but they dont have shit at forward.

At least Milwaukee actually looks like they are trying to put something around Giannis |
Quote:
I've actually enjoyed the Suns Lakers series more than the others because they have players that remind me of old school players. Lebron of course. Davis has a great inside-mid range game. Ayton is good inside. Chris Paul is a master at the mid range game. They're shooting less threes than the other teams it seems, but they're still shooting 30 a game. And I'd love to see the Suns win because they haven't been good in a long ass time. Unfortunately, I don't see it happening. I don't think the Lakers have even been playing their best and they're still up 2-1 with home court now in their favor. We'll see. |
Holy cow there might actually be a close finish here. Memphis looks like they might fall apart here in the last 3 minutes though.

The Jazz play good team ball and are better than the sum of their parts. They remind me a lot of that 14 Spurs team that destroyed the Miami team that had 4 HOfers on it.
|

I'm not sure the Jazz even have one player as good as any one of those four. |
