Since they fired Kurtzman, we are not getting anymore Trek until at least 2026? You guys here that?
But, maybe Picard3 is better since Kurtzman got fired? Someone else can take control. Trek is a way way wider universe than the Star Wars universe, Thousands od stories to be told, Disney and Faverau have shown you how to make entertaining shows in 2023 with these 40 year old properties. |

When the Shrike comes about, the shot of its deflector array definitely makes it look like the drive section of a Galaxy class, I'll agree. The Scimitar-like appendages on that thing camouflage's it pretty well.
So if they pull the Ent-D saucer out of mothballs to dock with that thing, does that mean Janeway is going to show up on Voyager to save the day? |
Quote:
I could be wrong about the Shrike, but man it just seems like there's a very natural spot for a saucer section to sliiiiide right in. |
It'll be Harry Kim. And he's still an ensign. :D

Because if you're gonna haul Voyager out to help the heroes, why not go full Avengers Portals Scene and have someone with the 1701-A Command Codes haul that sweet baby outta the museum to help, too. ROFL Oh WAIT. WAIT JUST A DAMN SECOND. Scotty was trapped in a transporter buffer for 75 years and emerged in 2369. That would make him about...105-110 years old around the time of Picard S3. A man can dream can't he? ROFL |
Defiant would be do-able. Worf knows her inside and out. :D

The original Defiant was blown up, but they got a replacement right before the finale.

I still feel like they might try to get an old constitution class out, if only because the show is drenched in constant TOS/80s Trek references in sound and design. It is interesting that they’ve done a complete 180 with P3 though (and it is my understanding that they filmed S3 immediately after S2 filming was complete). It’s like they realized in the middle of S2 production that what they were doing wasn’t working and that they had to make a significant change. They’ve all but ignored the first two seasons completely. Picard not having his body anymore is about the only thing they’ve referenced from those now (and it’s now become obvious why they did so). |

Picard isn't an interesting enough character to carry an entire show, and Stewart is too old to breathe the same life into the character that he used to. |

If they really want to wow me, after saving the Federation AGAIN, Worf, Geordi and Riker take up positions as the elder statesmen, rebuilding the UFP from the ground up and showing the kids the ropes.
You can have the crew of the Titan off doing cool shit and the B-roll is the old guys back in Sector 001 pulling strings. Almost like the prequels, with half the story on Coruscant (only not shitty and no Senate), half off on Naboo and Tatooine and Genosis, etc. |

By the way I've said this before on here but the very first episode that got me liking ST:TNG was when the UFP was taken over by worm-like creatures from far away and Picard and Riker had to show up to Starfleet HQ and kill a guy, blowing his skull open. That was fun and it got my attention. Same sort of thing happening right now and I wonder if it was on purpose.
