Jontay is pretty damn good

petegz28 11-26-2017 09:19 PM

that sure was a fast whistle to put WVU in the bonus....

dlphg9 11-26-2017 09:21 PM

Bob Huggins is skeezy as hell

petegz28 11-26-2017 09:31 PM

WVU hasn't missed from the line yet.....

Damn good half

WhawhaWhat 11-26-2017 09:37 PM

Very nice half. Need to put another one like that together.

petegz28 11-26-2017 09:37 PM

That was a damn good half of basketball....like to see them clean up some of the sloppiness and hit some of their first shots inside but they really punched WVU in the mouth. WVU is in it because they hit a ton of 3's and not much else...

Bullshit call on Tilmon...

dlphg9 11-26-2017 09:57 PM

Jesus Christ. Hope these refs choke on these whistles

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:05 PM

keep your foot on their throat!!!!

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:11 PM

6-0 run by WVU right now...need to shut that shit down....

WhawhaWhat 11-26-2017 10:13 PM

They have no idea how to get around the zone.

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:14 PM

starting to throw up too many bullshit 3's...put the ball on the floor and drive at these ****ers who are in foul trouble

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:21 PM

I like the open 3's ..good ball movement but still want to see more inside

dlphg9 11-26-2017 10:22 PM

I think we have a pretty damn good team boys

Pitt Gorilla 11-26-2017 10:24 PM

They are playing their best game of the season so far, if you ask me. Although the Refs have been quick on the whistle this half against them. Want to see them getting to the line a little more.

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:25 PM

Thanks for stopping the break Ref, dickhead

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:26 PM

Ref trying to give WVU a chance to set their defense when they otherwise couldn't...

Was obvious to me when they played Kansas. KU is pretty easily a top 5 team in the country this year (and will be ranked #1 for several months this year, I'm sure, starting tomorrow). And yet MU played them close in a game they had playoff intensity. That wasn't just because of Michael Porter.

dlphg9 11-26-2017 10:26 PM

Lol Geist

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:27 PM

Refs totally killed the momentum for MU with their "inadvertent whistle"

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:29 PM

FFS GEIST YOU IDIOT!

dlphg9 11-26-2017 10:29 PM

Ok pull Geist the **** out of there

Reminds me of the Embiid team, for sure. Just boundless amounts of raw talent.

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:30 PM

WVU still with only 2 fouls this half and only 6 to play...MU with 8....

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:30 PM

8-0 run by WVU....ever since the inadvertent whistle

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:35 PM

Wow, Ref , are you ****ing kidding me? Guy was out of control and fell into Puryear...

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:36 PM

Refs are ****ing MU at the moment

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:37 PM

Fouls are super lopsided and they are mugging MU with no calls

Pepe Silvia 11-26-2017 10:38 PM

Who ****ed up that wide open attempt in transition gosh damn it?

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:40 PM

16 pt lead being yanked away.....Refs doing their part for WVU

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:47 PM

FT's matter now, fellas

KC_Connection 11-26-2017 10:49 PM

lol at calling a push off on Porter there in a WVU game

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:50 PM

WTF was the foul on Porter, Ref?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

petegz28 11-26-2017 10:51 PM

Refs made sure WVU got back in this..started with their bullshit whistle that killed the flow for MU then allowed WVU to hjack the **** out of MU and call MU for everything

WhawhaWhat 11-26-2017 10:54 PM

Geist could not have had a worse half.

I still say the Refs called a shit half of basketball against MU. WVU hacked all over the place and no calls

petegz28 11-26-2017 11:02 PM

All the hacking WVU did and only had like 2 fouls with 6 mins left in the half. And then there was the convenient "inadvertent whistle" that killed MU's momentum when they were putting it on them...allowed WVU to set their defense.....

Good game by MU....they earned the win and had it taken away from them by some really shitty calls

phisherman 11-26-2017 11:04 PM

I actually thought Mizzou played very well, but they had a rough 3-4 minute patch dealing with WVU's press. That's something experience will help with over time; these guys are super young. Learn and move forward. WVU got the benefit of some late calls, but hey, gotta give 'em credit for playing tough until the final whistle.

Only158 11-26-2017 11:33 PM

Impressive three games from the Tigers. WVU is tuff and they never give up. I am saddened by the loss of MPJ for the program but am so happy Jonte is getting some much deseved attention. IMHO he has more of an NBA body than his older brother and could take the pounding a bit better. Thought so in high school, still think so now. If these 3 games tell nothing else it should let Mizzery fans know this was not going to be a 1 man show and to look forward to meaningful games in March.

Geist did his part to blow a 16pt lead against WVU and he is at it again trying to blow an 11pt lead against UCF.

Pepe Silvia 11-30-2017 09:42 PM

And that UCF dude stepping out on the baseline.

petegz28 11-30-2017 09:47 PM

2 things seem to be consistent so far....

1. They are blowing large leads
2. The fouls are lopsided against MU in the 2nd half

Gotta work on those as the season goes on

Al Bundy 11-30-2017 09:47 PM

That'll do it for UCF.

UCF isn't getting to the tournament this season, but MU looked really good.

Pitt Gorilla 11-30-2017 09:54 PM

Still don’t like Phillips at the point.

petegz28 11-30-2017 09:54 PM

Good win on the road.....maybe a little closer than it should have been but they held strong at the end

I feel better after the win, but after the MPJ stuff, the west virginia loss, ucf's fluke 3 and Tilmons technical got me thinking they might not catch a break all season.

petegz28 11-30-2017 09:59 PM

6-2 and headed back home for 4 straight....that could get them half way to the show before they play in St. Louis

WVU was also assisted by a ton of shitty officiating in the 2nd half. We got the crap mugged out of us and no calls.....but it is what it is

TrebMaxx 11-30-2017 10:05 PM

It's a young team. They should get better as the season goes on.

They also couldn't handle the 1-3-1 zone.

It really pisses me off that even UCF gets calls over Mizzou.

Why not? He plays with the best energy, he's the best distributor and he's the smartest shooter. He's game defensively though his size can be exploited.

Until Harris catches up to the speed of D1, he's the best option we have at the 1.

We don't lose to WVU if he was in there instead of Geist in the 40 second span where he committed two fouls and turned it over twice. That gave WVU the life it needed.

As the 4th or even 5th option on the floor, he's a solid player.

The entire damn backcourt turns it over at inopportune times.

Phillips is the best we've got, IMO. At least for the time being.

He tried, but Trae wanted to be The Man at his school. Turns out, he would have.

Yeah.....but that plays into ego doesn't it. Would he be able to fit in as part of a team concept or would he be more about being "the man"?

CJ Roberts to transfer.

I don't like to badmouth kids when they leave because they often have good cause to do so even when we don't know it.

But man, that sure looks like a kid throwing a tantrum because he was asked to redshirt, doesn't it? With Phillips struggling and Harris not exactly taking control, surely he sees that there's no reason he couldn't win that PG job next year if he works hard.

Hate to see that.

If he can't play this year, he's never going to play for Mizzou. I mean, Cullen ****ing VanLeer is still getting minutes for this team.

It's no loss.

I have it on pretty good authority that his Rivals rating was due entirely to his dad being a pain in the ass and the Rivals hoops guys not wanting to deal with the fallout of dropping him from 4-star status.

Yeah, I just hate seeing a kid that committed to the program when they were shit effectively forced out. You'd have liked to have seen him develop in a Wes Clark sort of way and become a strong contributor as an upper-classman in a couple of years.

I'm inclined to agree that we can put that scholly to equally effective/more use, but coming off an era where kids were leaving because they hate the program, I hate seeing one that seemed to actually like it here leave because he can't play as a freshman. A lot can change if he develops and sticks with it.

Oh well.
