The fact that he couldn’t do better in the Mountain West Conference with 4 NFL players says it all.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-18-2018 10:42 PM

LSU game included, Mahomes has always elevated his game enough to make the players around him better. Mahomes magic, you could call it.

Then you look at what Allen has done in college, especially against teams that were from the Power 5... it's not pretty. His numbers go from bad to worse. He wasn't making his guys better.

RealSNR 01-18-2018 11:05 PM

So who's going to fix Tim Tebow's Josh Allen's throwing accuracy, Knowmo?

There are times when Allen can't ****ing hit the broad side of a goddamn barn.

Quesadilla Joe 01-18-2018 11:22 PM

He can be off sometimes, but he can get hot too, like he did in the Tater Bowl.

We'll see how he does when he has some better players around him at the Senior Bowl.

It'll be fun to see. I'm betting that he just needs his guys to be as good as the D he's playing against.

I'll definitely be watching, its nice that some of the top QB prospects are playing this year.

RunKC 01-18-2018 11:41 PM

Josh Allen will kill the Senior Bowl and then most likely kill the combine throwing session because he’s perfectly built for those. He will wow people with his strong arm throwing all of the passes in shorts at practice. People will be impressed when they see the zip he puts on out routes.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Dorsey drafted this kid 1st overall. If we learned anything about him, it’s that he will always draft the boom or bust prospects. Peters, Tyreek, Kelce, Jones, Tanoh, Pat. All fit that mold.

I feel bad for the kid though. Cleveland is QB Graveyard and they will force him to start immediately due to #1 draft pick status. If he is lucky, Dorsey will also trade for Alex Smith and that will give Allen a chance to sit for a couple years to learn.

I think Dilfer's pretty smart about his stuff but it's hard to buy into everything he says because he won't say one negative thing about any of them...

Bottom line, as I said before we drafted Mahomes last spring, all of these QBs with good talent could become stud franchise QBs. But it's gonna come down more so to where they are drafted, not what they do personally.

If Cleveland takes Pat, Deshaun, or Trubisky and throws them into the fire last year, they all would fail and probably wind up as busts. And not the kind that go into the HOF.

Most of the QBs need work, but he needs the most work by far and I don't think he'll ever fix his mechanics especially not by 2018 when I want our drafted QB to start by.

Here are my final QB rankings

1. Darnold
2. Rosen
3. Mayfield
4. Jackson
5. Allen
6. Rudolph
7. Shimonek

I don't see much NFL potential with the rest.

Everything after Mayfield is a total project and Mayfield is more Manziel than people care to admit.

Darnold has the most upside, but the team that drafts him needs to figure out why he's got dicks for hands. Rosen is the most polished passer, but I think he's going to struggle with durability.

Jackson and Allen are pure upside guys, but the nod goes to Jackson. More athletic ability and I think he's got more untapped potential because Petrino has no interest in building QBs for the next level.

Allen had better coaching and regressed in even lesser games. Has some real Hack vibes, but still lots of upside.

Rudolph has potential to be a mid-range starter eventually and Mahomes replacement has some real raw untapped potential.

This class is super lacking in 2nd day options.

RunKC 01-22-2018 07:08 PM

KnowMo won’t acknowledge all of the people that love Mahomes and it’s funny because that’s all he does with Denver players. If Mahomes were a Bronco, could you imagine the Mahomes posts in that Donk thread? Lol

I can’t remneber who, but somebody that was in their war room basically said they wanted Mahomes at 11, but they were happy to get a Lattimore there. Very nice consolation prize to say the least.

What’s funny is we would’ve probably been in the same situation had we stayed put and drafted Foster.

Wyoming QB Josh Allen showed some of the same inconsistencies during today's practice session in Mobile. The arm talent jumps. And he can deliver the ball on the run. Natural tools at the position. But the lack of touch and ball placement continues to pop up during team drills.

I think it’s pretty obvious that accuracy was never the issue for Wilson that it is for Allen.

If Allen couldn’t fix it in 4 years of college, it’s highly doubtful that he does in the NFL.

He only played two years. Maybe his completion percentage would jump 10+ points like Russell Wilson's did if he played 4 years and was put in a better position to succeed.

Stafford was a >60% passer 4 out of his first 5 years in the league. He barely had a 60% completion percentage in his 6th year.
He didn’t turn into a consistent accurate passer until his 7th year in the league.

Elway won’t have time to wait for Josh Allen to try to fix his accuracy problems.
