Horrible officiating aside, that should have been a W so call it a choke job. Up 4 with such little time left, missed FTs and a damn banked 3 were the only reason Texas even had a chance.

KU would have had about two dozen more FTs if that game was reffed like a basketball game instead of a rugby game. I’m not bothered at all. They’ll crush that team anywhere that isn’t on the road.

KU has been fluking out games all year that they had very little business winning. Easily one of the “clutcher” teams at the end of games this season in the country. It’s going to even out in the long run, especially in an environment like that.

That along with the lucky banked in 3 by Texas under a minute and a half did us in.

Shit happens sometimes. Usually it doesn’t happen all in succession at the end of a game, but KU was the better team in that one and UT got bailed out by the refs and a late banked 3 when they had nothing going. Still a good performance overall considering what a shitshow that game was.

And the conference title is miles away from being decided, whether they won or lost today. Every game in this conference is no certainty given its quality. There will be losses yet to come for everyone.

Yeah perhaps Self will learn he can’t play Pettiford whatsoever in any kind of close game.

Could be but that 2.5 hours of disgrace to the game of basketball isn’t much evidence of anything. The UK blowout loss to a more talented team was much more of a warning sign.

KU shoots something like 70% from the line on the season. Today really wasn’t outside the norm for them.
