Curtis is done barring a three putt from Paddy.

Wow. Just wow. Harrington :wayne:

Nice work, Paddy.

Shag 08-10-2008 05:22 PM

That's a crazy par for the win...

Where's Tiger when you need him?

'Hamas' Jenkins 08-10-2008 05:23 PM

This is almost an identical finish to the '99 US Open.

Both players have makeable birdies on a par 3 near the end, the guy outside makes it. Then, needing par, the leader makes an all world save from the shit, holing a 15 footer FTW.

That was pretty gut wrenching. Jesus, if that doesn't show what clutch putting is all about, I don't know what would.

Honestly, I think dealing with the near tragedy last July at Carnousti has shown the Irishman that you can overcome anything, even late round gaffes.

Especially when you're staring down Sergio.

He was my favorite golfer of all times, along side Palmer.

I am a Mickelson fan, but damm, I might have to jump on the Paddy wagon. He is one of the classiest guys out there, got to respect that.

If I'm lucky enough to make it to the BMW in 3 weeks here in STL, I'll be rooting for Harrington.

Well, my golf season officially came to a close today.

Played yesterday afternoon with my wife and 2 friends. Started slow, but really played well on the backside, only to **** up my wrist on 18.

Was in a bunker 50 yards from the green, a couple of feet from the bunker face. Thought I had enough room to clear my follow through, and didn't.

Clubface caught on the face of the bunker, and my follow through came to a complete stop. Right wrist took the shock, thought I'd actually broke it at first.

I had such a good back nine going that I couldn't quit just a few strokes from posting a score, so I chipped on and putted out with one hand.

Anyway, saw the doc today, and while there's no break, he's worried there's damage to a tendon and/or the tendon sheath. 3 weeks in an immobilizer, if no better, then a trip to the orthopedic.

And it's a bitch to type with, too.

Mr. Plow 08-18-2008 07:34 PM

Ouch. Sorry to hear that man. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Man that sucks man.

Played in a tourney last weekend, we shot 13 under. 3rd in Champ. We struggled on short approach shots. Have the Ryder Cup match against Brookfield Country Club this weekend. I need to practice this week, but looks like it is going to be hard to fit in

Well, had our Ryder Cup yesterday against Brookfield. We won. In the best ball format I finished up 4 and 3. In alternate shot we halved, and Individual I lost 2 and 1. Should have won but got the shanks on a few shots, killed me! But all in all (team wise) we handed them the most lop sided loss since it has started. Lots of fun had by all, can't wait until next year.

Tiger still putting the ball in the hole while recovering from surgery.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Even with his golf done for the year, Tiger Woods found something to celebrate Tuesday: His wife is pregnant with their second child.

Woods said on his Web site that Elin is expecting in late winter without being more specific on a due date.

He has not played since his U.S. Open victory in June, and two weeks later had reconstructive surgery on his left knee that put him out for the year. Woods' first child, daughter Sam, was born the Monday after the 2007 U.S. Open.

"Elin is feeling great and we are both thrilled," Woods said. "While my injury has been disappointing and frustrating, it has allowed me to spend a lot of time watching Sam grow. I can't begin to tell you how rewarding it is being a dad and spending time with her and Elin.

"The injury has been a blessing and a disappointment."

The world No. 1 player has begun rehabilitation and has traveled recently to Dubai and New York for business projects.

Woods had said after he married in 2004 that he wanted more than one child. Woods was an only child, while Elin has a twin sister.

Watch your right knee. It's my experience that 99% of my *****s come from losing the angle in my right knee during the swing.

Stretch out your hammies if need be.

If you lose the knee, the head goes up, and you lead in with the hosel.

Try hitting some balls with a golf ball under the outside part of your right foot.

Played in a one day tourny last weekend (memorial tourny for a friend that passed). 3 man Best ball, we shot -13, 58. Played good, had fun, alot of old friends were there.

BTW, I guess there is talk about redoing the Fed Ex Cup next year, to make the final tourneys more appealing. Anything would help.
