Projections for the weekend are now at 204 million--just shy of the record set by the first Avengers. Universal was projecting 100-125 million for the weekend.

This cements Chris Pratt as a grade A superstar.

the rumors behind this are that the T-Rex is 20 years older and the roar would have changed with time.

Well, the D-Rex was the new badass Dino so they made the T-Rex roar less impressive.

That was a really fun movie. I really felt as though we were viewing a real theme park. They did a good job of making it look like an active functioning park.

Since there is some interest here, I want to share photos of my 1:1 Velociraptor bust from Stan Winston Studios. This was made in 1992 and the same molds were used to make the Raptors in the new movie.

Here it is when I received it. I intend to make a mold of it, and then have 5. I will have one painted in the original JP scheme and 4 painted as Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo.

I hated the militarization of Dinosaurs plot, you could've taken that out and the movie would have been better for it. other than that gimme Bryce Dallas Howard anyday :)

This movie wasn't without its flaws but it was hella fun.
